Learning Management Systems and Content Management Systems
This week’s readings on LMSs and LCMSs were better understood after I saw a connection with them and teachers and school administrators. Now I feel a tad bit better at determining whether a software application can be categorized as an LCMS. The primary indicator would be whether it offers reusability of the material and designed using a learning object model.

Hi Lori-
I enjoyed our chat the other day very much. It was a lot like talking to an old friend you had not seen in a while. This class has made us closer even though we are separated by physical distances.
I know this is not on the topic of LMS/LCMS but I felt the need!
Hi Lori,
I agree that is was easier to distinguish the LMSs and LCMSs after all of the analogies this week.
Lori,
Although I read the assignments and other resources posted by our classmates, I still cannot grasp the concept of LMS and LCMS. I am going to try the links your provided to help me better understand them. Perhaps, I am just putting too much in them. I get that one is more of use for management (LMS), but I would like to see them actually used to deepen my understanding. Thanks for the links.
Denise
Lekan,
The more we know, the better equipped we will be in our respective positions.
Becky,
You are hilarious.;o) Go ahead, a blog is the perfect platform to feel "the need" and express it. I couldn't agree more. You seemed like a long-time buddy of mine. If I ever catch you on IM again (beyond this class) I won't feel shy about saying hello to you.
Meredith,
Yes we all seemed to have found our preferred way of IMming. (Excuse my creation of a new word, but I'm sure you get the point.);o)
Denise,
Don't fret, it will become more plain to all of us once we have gained more experienced with it. Maybe we can see about getting a simluated game that would help out. ;o)
